The activity of ANCI is organized in Commissions that analyze and guide the associated administrations. Among these, there are at least two Commissions that carry out activities of interest for the project: the first is a commission of mayors “ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES, TERRITORY AND CIVIL PROTECTION / ENERGY AND WASTE”, and the second “INNOVATION TECHNOLOGICAL AND PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES”. They include about 100 municipality each. ANCI can play an active role in organizing and disseminating the restructuring initiatives of buildings owned by the municipalities.

Brief description

The National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) is a non-profit association, founded in 1901 and is part since 2017 of the Italian Public Administration. Approximately 7300 Municipalities are associated, of which 645 in the national coastal area and 255 in the Adriatic Ionian area. ANCI performs the following functions: represents the interests of the members before the central organs of the State; promotes the study of problems that affect its members and any subject concerning the public administration; intervenes with his own representatives in every institutional forum in which interests of local self-government are discussed or administered; provides advice and assistance to members directly or through participation or agreements with companies; promotes initiatives for citizens' civic education and to spread the knowledge of local institutions; promotes and coordinates the international relations of its members and their activities in the field of decentralized international cooperation
