Brief description
The Credit Co-operative of Evros was founded in May 1995, upon the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce of Evros and the support of all residents of the County. In October 1996 was evolved into Co-operative Bank under its current name "Co-operative Bank of Evros". Today it's restricted to operate only within the borders of the County, but its strategic plan is to evolve into a Regional Bank. It offers competitive interest rates in deposits and loans, banking services at low cost and banking products that are tailor made to fulfil the needs of the local community. Its deposits are invested within the County thus helping the development of the region. The Co-operative Bank's customers are mainly small and medium enterprises.
