The Province of Rimini, as an administrative structure, is particularly devoted to the development of tourism, which is the prevalent activity in its territory. It participated in several European projects of territorial cooperation, even in the energy field (Adriacold, Enercoast) and set up a summer conditioning plant with renewable sources (solar cooling). The Province of Rimini collaborated with the Municipality of Rimini on the layout of plants with renewable energy sources in the port and is available to support the tourist facilities in its territory for the adoption of sustainable technology, and among these the SWHP.

Brief description

The Province of Rimini is an Italian Province of Emilia-Romagna Region, with 337.109 inhabitants, having 5 coastal municipalities; its capital town is Rimini.

Relation to the project

Indirect involvement: in the territory there are thousands of tourist structures, with important economic dimensions; some hotels have installed SWHP with the technique of supplying sea water by drilling the subsoil to depths not very high because the soil is sandy. The potential development of the technological system SWHP is significant.
